Portfolio: DavidSilverlight.com — 30+ shipped .NET MAUI & Xamarin.Forms apps showcased

Professional Summary

Senior cross-platform mobile engineer with 12+ years of experience and 30+ shipped apps for clients including Microsoft, UPS, T-Mobile, and Midmark. Deep, hands-on expertise across both .NET MAUI and React Native — building and modernizing large-scale enterprise applications spanning architecture, performance, UI, and complex backend integration. An early adopter of .NET MAUI with an equally strong command of the React Native ecosystem (TypeScript, Expo, GraphQL, REST), backed by a long track record as an enterprise application developer delivering in distributed teams, and mentoring developers along the way.

AI-Augmented Engineering

Integrate AI tooling — primarily Claude Code — into a continuously refined development workflow that increases both velocity and code quality. A decade of hands-on .NET MAUI and React Native experience is what makes this effective: it allows me to evaluate AI-generated code critically — accepting sound solutions while identifying suggestions that work but introduce security vulnerabilities, subtle logic errors, or maintainability risks that would otherwise go unnoticed.

Professional Highlights

Enterprise Cross Platform Development Expertise. Delivers and modernizes mission-critical cross-platform applications for clients including Microsoft, UPS, T-Mobile, and Midmark, applying deep .NET MAUI and React expertise across architecture, UI, and performance — consistently earning highly positive client feedback in the delivery of 30+ mobile apps.

Proven Delivery in Remote Environments. Successfully delivered projects for global clients including T-Mobile and UPS as part of distributed teams, driven by strong collaboration with team members and product owners using Teams, Slack, Azure DevOps, and Git.

Leadership and Mentoring. Combines high-quality delivery with mentoring — coaching junior developers on architectural presentation patterns, SOLID principles, and best practices so new team members ramp up quickly and project outcomes improve. Years of serving the developer community — leading a .NET MAUI user group and building dev-community projects — have sharpened the ability to teach, motivate, and grow other engineers.

Professional Experience

RamTech — Remote  |  2025 – Present

Senior .NET MAUI Engineer

Delivered UX improvements, performance optimizations, and .NET MAUI-specific heavy-lifting work on gMobile, an Esri/ArcGIS-based field app supporting data collection and asset inspection — damage assessment, tracking and traceability, leak survey, and gas-insight inspections. Re-architected the app's workflows to design and build the vNext release, replacing multi-screen navigation with a single centralized mapping surface and unified toolbox.

ATrack Solutions — Remote  |  2026

.NET MAUI | Next.js Engineer (Contract) — ABA Therapy Clinical Platform

Worked on ATrack's web-based ABA clinical workflow application alongside their .NET MAUI mobile platform. Provided development support on ATrack Mobile, a .NET MAUI application (built on Prism) delivering an all-in-one data-collection and clinical-practice platform for Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy and autism service providers. Cleared a substantial defect backlog, delivered requested features, and resolved issues stemming from an improper Xamarin.Forms-to-.NET MAUI migration. Developed a system for supporting their applications and triaging the exceptions users encounter, incorporating a combination of Sentry and UXCam — an open-ended, configurable layer that can be extended with new tools or selectively disabled as needs evolve.

Sherlock Talent — Remote  |  2024 – 2025

React Native Developer — Time & Expenses Mobile App

Built and maintained a cross-platform React Native application (iOS/Android) in TypeScript from a single codebase, enabling employees to log time and expenses, punch in and out, submit time entries and timesheets, view work and client details, and manage scheduling from mobile.

Caffeinated Shark Labs — Miami, FL  |  Nov 2014 – Dec 2025

Principal .NET MAUI Engineer & Founder

Independent consultancy delivering .NET MAUI and Xamarin.Forms development engagements for clients ranging from startups to enterprises. 30+ shipped apps showcased at DavidSilverlight.com. Selected client engagements (reverse chronological):

Marcel — Xamarin.Forms (enterprise AI platform, 2019)

Badged Microsoft contractor, based on the Microsoft campus, serving as a Xamarin developer on the team that built the initial release of Marcel — an AI-powered platform connecting 20,000+ employees and reinventing the way they work by helping people find collaborators, discover inspiring work, schedule meetings, improve work quality, and follow up on committed deliverables.

UPS Mobile Delivery — .NET MAUI (enterprise, 2023 – 2024)

Conducted the .NET MAUI feasibility spike for the UPS Mobile Delivery application — used by UPS drivers on the DIAD 6 handheld device to scan delivered packages. Validated that the migration was viable end to end before committing the broader effort.
